It is on the 18th May at Galvins at Windows Hilton Park Lane. 2 courses and glass of pommery for £19.50 plus service and maybe water. •  Sorry, forget about my last posting about meetup on Sunday the 25th. It seems Saturday is better for everyone. We'll do it on Saturday the 24th for lunch, if everyone's cool with that. I'll be posting the venue very soon. I'm looking around for a special offer.

  •  Hi Joylin. I noticed you wanted to go out on a Saturday on the 3rd wk of May. I know I originally posted Saturday for a meetup. I found a special offer at There's a special offer for Sunday Lunch at 140 Park Lane. 2 courses for £14.50. I thought that's a good deal. If you cant make it and can only make Saturday the 24th, I'll try to find another offer. Let me know.

  •  Ok great. We'll definitely meet up when we get back. The meetup on the 25th May is still 'tuloy'. I am right now scouring the web for good offers- maybe Sunday lunch or something. I will definitely post a venue this week, before I leave on Friday.

Oh, by the way, I took over as organizer for Filipino expat from Maryrose. I thought I might as well 'carry on the torch' hehe and have more members on board. Hopefully we can also have more members in this group. that would be great!

  •  I wanted to change the name 'Interracial' to 'Intercultural'. Interracial may sound a bit ??? to some and may have some 'dodgy' connotation and may think that the purpose of this group is a bit more than socializing. I hope I can still change the name, but if I can't I'll try my best to make it sound really wholesome and that potential members know that the group is really a good get-together network of Filipinas/Filipinos involved in intercultural relationships.

  •  Hi Joylin, sorry to have kept you. I've just been held up by a marathon of appointments plus family commitments lately. On a long weekend, I stayed at my sister's in Newham where my newly arrived mother is staying (in the UK for the first time) & indefinitely. By the way, what are you studying? A blast in the past, 20 years ago, I was a student like you in the UK, now I'm settled here. Hope we could meet up with other kabayans sometime. Let me know when you see it possible. Take care.

  •  Hi again Joylin o kabayan (from Isabela din ako). Ilocano ni ermat ko, pangalatok ni erpat ko but we were all born in Cordon, except my little sister and 2 brothers who were born in Santiago city when we moved there in the 70s. I also taught in Isabela National High School where I met a lot of Ibanag speakers... kumantam ngana! Let's meetup soon, shall we? You seem to be entrepreneurial, that's what I'm engaged in, who knows we could be partners in business!

  •  Hi Joylin, how nice to see you and other folks expanding their reach to others inc. meetups. I've myself just got through from one meetup to another - MaryRose, Leo, Art and yours. How local are you and if you can come to Highbury & Islington (my office is just 2mins walk from the tube station), let's meetup with the others &who knows we could come up to the greatest synergies ever that will make a mark on our heritage's pride&existence in the global scene(possibly impossible 2happen back home)!

  •  Hi Joylin. I'm from Baguio. So can you speak Ilocano? wow, so you live very centrally. What do you study? I used to work and I also used to be a student in Greenwich uni- my past life... nowadays, I'm kind of enjoying staying at home. So really need to expand my social circle...
